If you actually get what my costume is, congrats! I don't know how many people actually played Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers. It's such a silly game. I played it a couple of times and found it entertaining. I made this costume back in early 2011 for an Onechanbara group at Anime North that didn't really happen. It was too cold at the con for Ammie to wear her Aya costume. I decided to wear Saki anyway. I had picked to make Saki's outfit from a Wii version of the game so it was super obscure. A few people thought I was Cosplaying from Sucker Punch. XD
I only have 2 photos of the costume and I'm not really sure when I'll wear this again if ever so I thought I should post a photo here just to show that I actually made the costume. I fixed it up a little bit post-con as my bow sat a little funny. I absolutely love my pleated skirt! The fabric was really pretty and the pleats looked really nice (my mother helped me set them back then because pleating is a pain in the butt). I didn't make a harness Saki has for her sword. My sword was given to me by my friend Bonnie who had made it years ago for another costume. It was a really cool prop!
Please ignore that the wig gives me mega forehead. It was an Arda Leia and it was super heavy on my head. I had maybe 20 bobby pins trying to keep it in place but it still slipped back (and gave me a headache). I bought sew-in wig clips since then in case I wear this wig again. I spent a lot of time on this costume so despite it being obscure, I hope I can wear it again. I know Ammie and I would still like to do a shoot of the sisters together.
I really appreciate Mike taking this hallway photo of my costume so I have something to share.
