Ninja in the rainby ~straywind

Artisan Crafts / Costumery / Costumes / Cosplay & Role-Playing

After making ANBU costumes with my friends Pan and Sakura and creating ANBU Team 7 costumes, a year later we decided to make first season Team 7 costumes and I had a lot of fun making my Sasuke costume. I lucked into the perfect pair of short white pants for the ensemble and the wig Pan styled for me turned out really nicely. The shirt was a bit tricky to make as the gravity defying collar didn't like to cooperate but with a lot of effort and time the costume came together really nicely and my Sasuke costume is a costume that I'm very proud of. I have a lot of fond memories of this costume from events in which I got to Cosplay with my best friends Sakura and Pan. <3 I'll post a couple of group shots later. Thanks to Pan for making the master sandal pattern that I used to make mine! I doubt I'll ever get a chance to wear this costume again, but I can always look back at the happy memories that I have of this costume and smile.

This photo is from a quick shoot that I did with Stillvisions during Polaris 2008 (which was held at the Doubletree hotel). I re-wore this costume so I could buy a costumer's pass for the convention and Stillvisions was kind enough to take a few photos of me despite the not so nice weather outside. We made do and got some fitting angsty shots. (^^)

ooh I love it! So few people do Naruto costumes well...for being so simple, they have a lot of details that people usually miss. You nailed it, what can I say? I adore you as Sasuke!

Thanks! I feel like making this costume and my ANBU costume were turning points in my Cosplay career as they were probably the first costumes that I really took a lot of time to make as detailed as possible and close to the designs.

I'm really happy with how my Sasuke costume turned out. It's really one of my all-time favourite costumes so I appreciate the compliment. :3
