Hotaru Tomoe

Here's my first non-fuku Sailor Moon costume. It's Hotaru's casual black dress ensemble from Sailor Moon S which I wore at Youmacon 2012. The dress was made for me by my awesome friend as my Christmas gift. It was to go along with her wonderful Mistress 9 costume. Check her gallery for a photo of us together. She looks so pretty as Mistress 9. X3 This a super comfy and fun outfit to wear. Since I carried around my Silence Glaive, it was pretty easy to recognize that I was Cosplaying as Hotaru.

My Silence Glaive was made by . I absolutely love it and I was happy to get a chance to use it as a prop with another costume. He's had a few requests to make more, but sadly the Silence Glaive was pretty labour intensive so he's not going to be able to take on more Silence Glaive commissions.

My wig really didn't want to behave when I wore this costume at Youma. My bangs were kind of meh in every picture. >.< I'll be sure to spray them down with more vigor when I re-wear this outfit! It's such a comfortable costume that I can't wait to wear it again!
