I'm so in love with this photo! It was taken by Stillvisions at a Halloween photoshoot on Sunday night. It's been my dream for the last couple of years since I watched Trick 'r Treat to Cosplay Sam and do a shoot in which I'm surrounded by jack-o-lanterns. Last year when I debuted my Sam costume my costume was too rushed and there wasn't time for a shoot so this year I was pumped for a Halloween party. Stillvisions let me co-host the party at his house and a crew of about 15 people took 7 hours to gut and carve 32 pumpkins for this shoot. Some pumpkins were scary and others were comical and meme based. We went to town with it and had a blast!
My Sam costume was made from a one-piece animal mascot pattern. I attached running shoes to the bottom of the one-piece for traction. The mask that I made last year looked really bad because I over thought it. This year I made a structure from paper mache and a blow-up beach ball. The shape was perfect for Sam! My mother helped me shape the head and attach the button and stitch details so I got proper spacing on the burlap. It's not 100% accurate, but I had a lot of fun with the design. :3 My mother also made me my nifty burlap sack.
I wore this on Halloween and just hung out in the yard surrounded by jack-o-lanterns. I apparently scared quite a few kids. XD A lot of people thought I was either an alien or a scarecrow. I guess Trick 'r Treat is a little too mature for the kiddies. lol
Thanks to all my friends that came out on Sunday night to help carve pumpkins! Without them the shoot wouldn't be possible and thanks to Stillvisions for the photos!

I'm such a Halloween nut. I'm sad that it's over for another year. Edit (October 12th, 2012)
: This photo was a dream come true and I'm so thrilled that it's received such a positive reaction on deviantART, Tumblr and through various other blogs and sites. I very much appreciate the Daily Deviation! It's an honour! I'm such a big fan of Halloween that the comments really mean a lot to me. Thanks so much everyone! I owe everyone that helped out with the shoot another round of thank yous and please check out Stillvisions other photography work. He is especially talented at shooting horror themed photos. I doubt Halloween this year will top the awesome experience that I had last year, but I'm glad that it's almost my time again. (^^)
